Evaluation of Nursing Curriculum of Adult Learning Principles



Abstract
The development of the adult learning-based curriculum should be an on-going activity because desired knowledge, skills and attitudes changes with expansion human knowledge, as demands on quality and quantity of health services. The purpose of this study was to evaluate currently operating RN-BSN program curriculum. The design of study was systematically used by literature reviews, comprehensive curriculum analysis, and survey method. The formation, content, and arrangement of RN-BSN curriculum were related to the educational goals and the characteristics of RN-BSN students. Based upon theories of adult learning principles, RN-BSN curriculum was consisted with self-directed, and inclined to use student¢¥s past experience as a resource. It is suggested to develop the competency-based evaluation methods and the materials which will used for self-study.
